Class Description

Description

What you'll learn in this figure drawing class:

Our two-and-a-half-hour uninstructed figure drawing session with a long pose at the end. All levels are welcome.

This session is designed to allow attendees to create more completed drawings. The first forty minutes are short poses. After that, all poses are 20 minute poses with a 40-minute pose at the end. We play music quietly while the model is posing so sketchers can concentrate.

It’s a nice class and the pose times are perfect but they just raised it to $30 a class. Because of this I will be attending less classes. $25 was already a bit steep.

Review Summary by CourseHorse

Students praise the Weeknight Figure Drawing classes for their quality models, dynamic poses, and welcoming atmosphere. They note that the environment is comfortable and the pacing of the class is well-balanced between drawing and break time. The classes provide a good mix of short and long poses, which helps students develop and hone their drawing skills. Students felt they could concentrate on their work in a nonjudgmental setting, especially those drawing for the first first time in this class. These students were definitely encouraged to return. Eeryone appreciated the strong feedback from the instructor and peers during breaks and after class. Quotes: 1. "Relaxed, environment; simple approach that allows for personal opportunity to draw from the figure without preconditions." 2. "The model was terrific - very professional." 3. "Simon stayed after class for an hour just to review students work that wanted some advice. In one class I feel like I learned more than I did at a university drawing class."
