Description

Are you a person who welds? Wants to weld? Thinks welding is cool? Wants to learn to forge metal and make your own ideas come to life in metal? Get empowered through welding and forging and overcome fears in a safe creative space.

This workshop is intended to be a light, fun way to gain skills and make a small piece of sculpture or functional work in metal to take home!
No experience necessary, however, experienced welders and sculptors can create more advanced projects. Those who want to join and are apprehensive about the Sparks. we have a light metals copper project for you!
We have found that inside of this course it is doable a project to create a piece no larger than 1.5’x1.5’. If the student desires to use the time to problem solve and build a project that is larger, the student understands that they will most likely need to return to complete the project in a second weekend-welding workshop, or in a one-on-one or a series of one-on-one mentoring sessions, at an additional cost.
Friday, Meet and greet, design, and demos session - come up with your own ideas or we'll help you with some that can be done in a day. *Pre-class/Email design correspondence is due 10 days before the weekend, although you can refine design during the weekend.
Saturday, demos, guided studio work time, sharing demos & techniques. (Bring a lunch, or we will go out as a group.)
Sunday, Complete projects and show and tell time. Share your experience about the creative process. (No lunch break, Healthy snacks included)

Wonderful course! It was just what I was looking for. I had never worked with metal before and she taught me all the basics, then plenty of time to practice them all. Corrina's work is amazing and beautiful and she is just fun to be around.

The best class I have taken! I am so grateful for this Weekend Welding Workshop experience. Corrina is an incredibly talented and accomplished mixed media artist, so it is special to be able to learn to form her. What you create is entirely up to you with guidance from Corrina and Richard. They both are welcoming and make you feel at ease. I am still in awe that I was able to create this vision I had for several years with no experience. Thank you Corrina for creating this workshop. I will be back!

Absolutely do this course if you have any interest in metal working! I built a set of skewers to cook things over fire. They are awesome! Corrina is a wonderful instructor. I had all the creative freedom to do what I wanted and all the assistance, both creative and otherwise, I could have asked for.
