IMPV 201: Game of the Scene and Advanced Game Technique

In this 8-week course with UCB trained Josh Warren, you’ll spend 3-hours each week learning how to find the game of the scene, and how to utilize game to heighten and intensify the comedy of your scenes.

Game is what makes your scenes funny, and it is typically approached as arising from the first unusual thing that occurs after you have established your base reality. This course will help you to:

• Recognize the first unusual thing.
• Establish the first unusual thing as the game, and communicate this establishment to your scene partners
• Broaden and heighten your game
• Utilize pattern work within games, and
• Establish personal games within your characters

Registration includes:

• Eight, 3-hour classes, held over eight consecutive weeks.
• A Grad Show to showcase your newly acquired improv game skills!
• A professional, multi-camera video of your show, shot and edited Action Show Studios!
