Class Description

Description

Develop proficiency in essential Spanish grammar topics and expand your conversational abilities. You will learn to discuss weather conditions and associated activities, master demonstrative adjectives that distinguish between items (this table versus that table), and use indirect object pronouns (me, te, le, nos, les) to express complex ideas. You will also learn to use verbs like gustar to discuss preferences and express what you enjoy, what causes you discomfort, and what holds importance for you. Upon completion of Spanish 4, you will be able to construct sentences using indirect object pronouns such as "I give the book to him" and "She sends a message to her." You will confidently form the present perfect tense to express completed actions: "I have traveled to Europe" and "Have you already finished your work?" You will understand and use possessive pronouns to indicate ownership and use comparative adjectives to make meaningful comparisons between items and ideas.

Prerequisite: Completion of Spanish 1, 2, and 3 courses or equivalent language knowledge.
