Class Description

Description

Explore the world of Chardonnay in this engaging blind tasting class. While Cabernet is often celebrated as the king of wines, Chardonnay has quietly become ubiquitous in vineyards worldwide. Discover why this elegant grape deserves equal recognition.

Chardonnay, Pinot's Burgundian cousin, stands as California's most extensively cultivated grape variety and thrives across the globe. Through guided tastings, you will explore its origins, diverse growing regions, and distinctive characteristics. Experience how oak treatment transforms the wine's profile, and taste examples from both cool and warm climate producers to understand the full spectrum of Chardonnay's versatility.

In this guided tasting of six distinctive wines, you will learn how climate, soil composition, and regional winemaking traditions shape Chardonnay's expression. Despite their differences, you will discover common threads that unite these diverse expressions. This class is essential for Chardonnay enthusiasts and anyone seeking to deepen their wine tasting knowledge and develop a more sophisticated palate.
