The course is specifically designed for designers who already possess proficient technical skills in the core Adobe Creative Suite applications: Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. Rather than focusing on software fundamentals, this course emphasizes strategic design thinking, professional design processes, and the development of cohesive portfolio work that demonstrates your capabilities to potential employers or clients.
Portfolio Projects and Deliverables:
Throughout the duration of this bootcamp, you will conceptualize, design, and complete multiple professional-grade projects suitable for portfolio presentation. The curriculum includes creating custom logo designs, developing engaging social media graphics, designing branded stationery systems, producing book and eBook cover designs, creating album artwork, designing promotional event posters, and developing professional email marketing announcements. Each project type exposes you to different design challenges and client requirements that you will encounter in professional practice.
Feedback and Iterative Design Process:
An essential component of this program involves receiving comprehensive critical feedback on your design work. During each class session, your instructor and fellow classmates will provide constructive critiques that help you strengthen your designs and develop professional communication skills. You will incorporate this feedback into revised versions of your work, completing assignments either during class or as homework outside of class (be prepared to dedicate significant time to outside work). Upon completion, you will upload your finished portfolio projects to Adobe Portfolio, which is included with any Creative Cloud subscription, creating a professional online portfolio website that showcases your design expertise.
