Ryoko was fantastic—I went in not knowing what to expect, but ultimately was really glad I did this class and my bouquets look much nicer now. -
The Fundamentals of Drawing & Painting
I really enjoyed this class. It’s been a very long time since I’ve done any drawing let alone charcoal but Raphael made it a fun learning experience. Never once did he make me or anyone else feel like they did wrong. We learned about mark mapping & proportion with our subject as well as creating value, scale and shadowing by blending charcoal. I liked the size of the class, 5 or 6 students, Raphael’s one on one with everyone and the workspace really felt like an art studio with many easels, artwork and quotes. Everyone attending was friendly and interested in each others work. I look forward to taking more classes in the future. -
Caricature Drawing Class
I was nervous because the class was small and I am an introvert. It was the perfect set up. Teacher was personable without forcing input and questions and greetings. You could talk if you wanted or remain quiet. Zero pressure. Anjl taught very simple and clear with great imagery. It was so easy to follow. She really helped lay the base for what I'm trying to develop in myself. I really feel confident I can do this now with the knowledge she shared! It was fantastic! My family is already asking me to draw them just based off my class drawings. -
Beginners Watercolor Painting

Online Gray Colored Pencil 101
Linda is a very helpful, entertaining, and knowledgeable instructor who manages to oversee a large number of disparate activities simultaneously. This format was new to me -- less overt instruction, each person doing their own project in different media -- and I'm not sure it's really efficient, but if anyone could make it work, Linda would be the one! -
Figure and Portrait Drawing Combined
Susan is an EXCEPTIONAL teacher! I learned so much and had so much fun! HIGHEST recommendation! -

Chunky Knit Blanket
It was well done. My only suggestion is that she start out getting people ready I.e. prepare and position yarn. I started out behind because my yarn got tangled. Cara was great when I raised my hand she back tracked for me. I would definitely take a class again. -

The Fundamentals of Drawing & Painting
Raphael is an exceptional art teacher! His classes are a perfect blend of skill-building and artistic exploration. He possesses a deep understanding of various art techniques and has a knack for explaining them in a clear and engaging way. What's more, his lessons are enriched by his vast knowledge of art history. He effortlessly weaves in fascinating insights about the origins of these techniques and the historical context in which they were developed, giving us a deeper appreciation for the art we create. What sets Raphael apart is his ability to nurture individual talent. He takes the time to understand each student's unique strengths and interests, providing personalized guidance and encouragement. He fosters a supportive and inspiring classroom environment where everyone feels comfortable experimenting with their art. Beyond technique, Raphael fosters a true understanding of art. He encourages us to think critically about the art we see and create, to analyze its meaning and impact. He opens our eyes to different artistic styles and movements, helping us to develop a well-rounded perspective. Raphael's passion for art is contagious, I highly recommend Raphael to anyone seeking to ignite and develop their artistic abilities, unlocking their creative potential. He is a truly gifted teacher who makes learning an enriching and enjoyable experience. -
Hammer Forged Earrings (Virtual Private)
The instructor was very patient, thorough and knowledgeable. I think with practice I will be able to create hammered jewelry! -
The Fundamentals of Drawing & Painting
This class is a wonderful space for anyone who enjoys art and wants to begin working on their drawing and painting skills. Raphael is an amazing teacher who really understands beginners and knows how to approach them and their way of thinking. He's super knowledgable about the history of art, and it's just a pleasure being in the space that he's created. Before taking Raphael's classes, I did some sketching at home, but without actually being familiar with any drawing techniques, so I've taken 5 or 6 classes in this studio. In the beginner class, Raphael focuses on composition (which is super helpful because knowing how to start a drawing can be really difficult), shading (values/tones/what it means to give shape to an object and that erasing is also a part of painting), what an iterative process creating art is, and simply how to approach/understand/appreciate a work of art. Raphael encourages different mediums such as charcoal and pastels, neither of which I'd been exposed to before - it's been great learning how powerful both of these are. Also, the class takes place in an atelier filled with so many paintings, which I find really cool. -
Mindful Doodling
This class was very relaxing and my instructor was easy-going and made the session fun. In simple easy steps I was able to make beautiful complex looking abstract art. Perfect class after a busy stressed work-day. The time flew by and I learnt some fun doodles. -
Painting in Watercolor - Level 2
Painting in Watercolor Level 2 is at least a 5 experience. The teacher leads you through doing a complete painting and on the way you learn new techniques and ways to approach painting things -
The Fundamentals of Drawing & Painting
I took this class for a mental break from my job, and it ended up being a wonderful choice! The class is informative, and Raul was very helpful and encouraging throughout the process. You will learn a lot and expand your artistic knowledge in a very relaxed, easy-going environment. -
Beginners Watercolor Painting
I took the class along with my son. We really enjoyed it and learned a lot. We learned about technique and also to enjoy the process. Great class and instructor! -

Hammer Forged Earrings (Virtual Private)
I gained knowledge watching the Argentium tutorial on shaping organic figures into creative, wearable art. I learned how to curve & solder discs by reshaping the edges into multi clusters & attaching posts for conceptual or for more of a sophisticated look. I knowledge I gained will enhance my ability to create, produce & share my skills with others. Thank you for my new skills. -

Caricature Drawing Class

Cartooning and Illustration for Beginners
It was the best zoom class I've taken as he was savvy and quick with the technology in a way that really helped the learning process and didn’t delay or detract. The teacher provided tons of resources and useful tips throughout each class. He was engaging, energetic, and skilled. It helped to have our work marked up in real time to see where we can improve. He works well with all skill levels without judgment. More than anything, it was just fun :) -
Collage Then and Now
I love this class. Erin is great. The collage artists she covers range from very well known such as Joseph Cornell to the locally known artists like Eunice Parsons of Portland, Oregon. Erin’s demonstrations are very helpful in being able to take the techniques and subject matter of the artist discussed each week and interpret into your own work. The class not only provides the input and knowledge of the teacher Erin McClusky but also gives the opportunity to learn from the other students and their knowledge and recommendations of techniques and art supplies that have worked for them. -

Online Painting with Acrylics 301
Linda is a joy to have as an instructor! Learning many basics missed in other classes I’ve taken and finding it very valuable. -
Floral Fridays Watercolor (Online)
I have never been good at drawing and was skeptical as I signed up for this course. Surprisingly, I learned a lot. The instructor was very accessible and taught in a very structured, clear way and I actually learned to paint and learned something about mixing colors and in general feel much more comfortable about my abilities. I would have liked to continue but I believe the instructor went to Europe at the end of the class. I would give the experience a 4.5, simply because I would have preferred to do it in person. -
Virtual Japanese Flower Arrangement - Misho Ikebana
I truly enjoyed this class! It was personal and fun! The one issue was with Course Horse...they kept emailing me the class was cancelled. Then the instructor sent me the zoom link just before the class was to start. I really didn't know if there was going to be a class or not right up to the class start time...this was frustrating.
