Introduction to Painting/Painter's Workshop

Learn to paint and express yourself! Students in this course will learn techniques used to make wonderful works of art. 

Beginners are encouraged to attend this class as Acrylic paint is friendly, forgiving and works well on a variety of surfaces. 

Continuing students are welcomed to join this class as a workshop experience where our instructor will guide your growth as a painter.

Acrylic Painting Class:

I. Fredrix Canvas Panels: 

• 11”x14”, or 12”x16”, or 16”x20”
• Optional: Fredrix Canvas pads, or Strathmore Bristol paper

II. Brushes: 

• Synthetic or Bristle Acrylic brushes
     -  Flat Size: 10, 12, 20
     -  Round Size: 2, 6, 10

III. Liquitex (Heavy duty) or Basics Liquitex paint: 

• Titanium white
• Cadmium medium yellow
• Magenta (medium)
• Cyan blue
• Emerald green
• and any black

Optional colors: 

• Cadium medium red
• Cobalt or Ultramarine blue and Phtalo green
• Also a bottle of gesso and primer
