Description

Explore the rich, earthy beauty of Cutch, a natural dye derived from the heartwood of the Acacia tree. In this workshop, you’ll learn how to prepare and work with Cutch to create warm shades of golden tan, nut-brown, and/or deep rust on natural fibers. We’ll cover dyeing techniques, mordanting, and ways to shift color with simple modifiers, giving you the skills to continue experimenting at home.

Participants will leave with a dyed silk scarf, and a cotton market bag, as well as a deeper understanding of this ancient dye source, once prized across cultures for its durability and beauty. Perfect for new and experience dyers alike!

You may cancel for a refund up to 21 days before the workshop. After that, workshop fees are not refundable or transferable.

We reserve the right cancel or reschedule a workshop with fewer than 4 sign ups. If you cannot attend the rescheduled date, you will receive a refund.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
