Description

Elevate your American Mahjong skills in this focused intermediate-level course designed for players who already understand the fundamentals of the game. This five-week structured program develops strategic thinking, improves pattern recognition, and accelerates gameplay speed for competitive play.

Course Progression:

During the first two classes, you will learn to rapidly identify strategic relationships between combinations displayed on the Mahjong card, developing intuitive recognition patterns. The third and fourth class sessions explore offensive and defensive strategy during both the Charleston and active game-play phases. The fifth and final class focuses on increasing your playing speed to tournament-competitive levels. All sessions involve collaborative peer learning where students practice together, building skills through group experience and friendly competition.

Completion Benefits:

Materials Fee: A $15 materials fee, paid directly to the instructor, covers the cost of the official National Mahjong League card you will receive upon successfully completing the course. This card becomes an essential reference tool for competitive play.
