This was my first zoom experience but will not be my last. I am already looking into which class to take next. I learned quite a bit and he gave steps to take now if someone wanted to be a tv writer. -
Pilot I: Creating the World
The only tv writing class you'll ever need...Dylan covered everything (with primo examples)! You'll read and dissect the best scripts, write both in and out of class, and get feedback from a master. I signed up for level 2 about 60 seconds after it was offered. If you're serious about getting stronger and finally realizing that idea, do yourself a favor and take this class. -
Writing for TV I: Introduction (Online)
John is a great teacher and a fun person. Those are critical for learning. Nobody wants a teacher who is judgey or mean or just not fun. For such a short class, I learned a ton. Thanks so much John! -

Dylan is such a great teacher! He's got a lot of enthusiasm in class and gives lots of great information and feedback. It's a great class to take if you want to start your first pilot script or rework a current one you want to finish. Class is weekly and very structured and homework reading other pilots and watching them. A must if you want to write your first pilot! -

I initially thought a day-long class would be daunting, even intimidating, but Jim Mendrinos is personable, funny, and clearly knows all the ins and outs of TV. I love that no matter the show mentioned, he has knowledgeable input. I couldn't recommend the class enough. -
TV Writing Intensive (Zoom)
This instructor really broke down the structure of various types of television shows in a way that was accessible and clear. It is a very useful start for anyone interested in TV writing. However, the 10 week course has a more in depth and well-paced approach that may make more sense if one would like to walk away with a workshopped TV writing sample or full spec script. -
