The iPad is a powerful, versatile tool for creating digital art as well as convenient for sketching, creating compositional studies, and much, much more. This class with Anna Wakitsch is an introduction to painting on the iPad in the Procreate app using the Apple Pencil. This class is specifically designed for beginners with no previous experience with digital painting.
It will ensure that students learn the fundamentals of using the app and working digitally. You will learn how to navigate the app and how to approach working digitally, how to select the right brush for the effect you want, and how to create palettes to add color. By following a painting process that uses a separate layer for each step, you’ll gain an understanding of the flexibility and freedom to make changes to the drawing or color at any stage. Students will practice using the app by following along with the instructor as she demonstrates live on Zoom.
Required Materials:
This course is available for "remote" learning and will be available to anyone with access to an internet device with a microphone (this includes most models of computers, tablets). Classes will take place with a "Live" instructor at the date/times listed below.
Upon registration, the instructor will send along additional information about how to log-on and participate in the class.
