What you'll learn in this quilting class:
If you've been wanting to learn to sew modern + fun patchwork quilts, this is the class for you!
In this one-day intensive, you'll learn how to construct a Looper Quilt top. Looper is a unique quilt pattern with modular blocks, meaning they can be rearranged in any direction to create a continuous design. Follow the suggested designs or create your own!
This workshop will cover:
- How to design a LOOPER quilt layout (check out #looperquilt on Instagram for some amazing inspiration from other makers!)
- How to accurately cut straight and curved fabric pieces with a rotary cutter and cutting mat
- How to assemble your straight and curved fabric pieces (you must have machine sewing experience; see below)
- How to iron in quilting
Skill Requirements
- Please note this is not a learn-to-sew class.
- Students must have basic machine sewing knowledge and be comfortable using a sewing machine.
- If you do not know how to sew, please take one of our Sewing 101 classes as a minimum prerequisite to this class.
- We will provide all necessary tools for use during class (cutting mats, rotary cutters, rulers, pins, irons, ironing boards, etc).
- Each student will have access to their own sewing machine courtesy of BERNINA of America
- Fabric, thread, and the quilt pattern are not included in the registration fee and will be available to purchase during class at a 10% discount to workshop attendees.
Refund Policy
We do not issue refunds on workshop registrations.
- If you register for a workshop and later become unable to attend, we will gladly offer a credit if you notify us at least 5 business days before the workshop.
- We are unable to offer credits of any kind, or honor reschedule requests, with less than 5 business days advance notice.
In fairness to all of our customers, we are unable to make exceptions to our policy, including for reasons of illness or travel. If you are unable to attend a workshop at the last minute, we suggest giving your spot to a friend!
In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
