Class Description

Description

Description

Introduction to Shakespeare is an ideal workshop for actors who have an appetite for great language, heightened circumstances, expanded physicality, an extraordinary use of voice, great poetry, in brief… for Shakespeare. Designed for beginning actors or intermediate actors who have never trained in Shakespeare this course will explore The Bard’s text through work on monologues and scenes and will introduce techniques necessary for the robust playing of Shakespeare. What makes this workshop unique is that we will explore William Shakespeare not as an iconic poet/playwright of the Elizabethan age but as a contemporary playwright.

Please Note: All Stella Adler classes are subject to an application and potentially an audition for acceptance. Once booking, the school will reach out to you to complete the application process. If for any reason you are not accepted to the class, you will be eligible for a refund.
