Are you an absolute beginner with zero experience? This is your starting point! Begin from the foundation by learning fundamental chords, including D, G, Em, C, D7, Am, A, and E. Every chord diagram, string position, and finger placement is explained in simple, easy-to-follow steps using real songs from renowned artists like John Legend, Sublime, Taylor Swift, Coldplay, and many more.
You genuinely can, and absolutely will, learn to play guitar in this program!
Here's the learning structure:
- Participate in weekly class sessions where you'll build relationships with fellow learners, develop new abilities incrementally, and master an exciting new song each week. Guitars are supplied for NYC participants! (If you need to skip a session, simply reschedule with another group at no cost or book a discounted private lesson instead.)
- Make practice effortless with comprehensive video instruction, including a straightforward 2-minute warm-up video for Level 1. (You'll receive the link following your registration.)
- Progress to the next level once your teacher confirms readiness, or record yourself performing with the graduation video to document your advancement. (The link will be sent after registration.)
The typical absolute beginner reaches intermediate level readiness within 6 to 8 classes. However, your individual pace is perfectly acceptable; progress at your own rhythm.
Prerequisites: None required. Just bring enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
Instruments: Guitars are available in the classroom, though bringing your own is always welcome.
