Students will learn Kumihimo technique, a card braiding technique traditionally from Japan that means 'gathered threads.' The Samurai once used kumihimo as laces for their armor. This class was absolutely amazing!! I learnt how to safely use a micro torch and not be intimated by it as well as simple soldering. I love the fact that this is a project that I can make at home with an investment of a few tools and materials. Everyone was able to walk away with at least 3 bangles and they all looked beautiful.
