I’ve been looking for a stone carving class for a while. I’m so glad I found this one. First, the Compleat Sculpture is an amazing place. The entire staff is so nice and knowledgeable. The quarry took my breath away. My teacher Alex is amazing. I learned so much the first day about the nuances of each tool. He helped me every step. He’s so knowledgeable and kind. I love my class . I can’t recommend Alex enough. -
Stone Carving Class: A Skill Based Approach
It was a very informative and educational class in stone carving. My professor was a renowned stone carver with expertise in the craft and in teaching it. The community of fellows in the class was likewise inspiring. I would definitely do it again! -
Stone Carving with Ailene Fields
I loved my experience. Ailene was a great instructor. Her artistry and care came through in every moment, and I felt very inspired. She wasn't overly intrusive, but I did feel supported whenever I had questions. The facilities were great. I discovered a new hobby, which I am still doing to this day. Everyone should try stone carving! -
