I learned a lot in this class and appreciated having all of the supplies provided. The class easily could have been a three day class or multi-day class. There was even a waist band part of the project which the instructor left out to save time, although I would have liked to have had the option to complete it. We were not told about that part of the project until it was too late for it to be added. It was a big challenge to try to finish all of the steps of the corset since it was a very complicated design. Most people did not finish in time. This made working on the project a little stressful. I would have appreciated it if the instructor was more willing to answer questions and walked around to check students’ progress. The teacher also started class late on the second day and left early due to her own travel logistics. We were still given time in the sewing studio to work on our project, but the teacher should have been available for the full time. We were also told at the end that we would be given extra studio time at the sewing center for independent project work where another instructor would be present if we had questions. It would have been nice to know this upfront. After taking this course, you will have the skills to complete the project on your own and to start other DIY projects from the instructor’s website. You will definitely learn a lot. The sewing tutorial can also be found on YouTube which is helpful for reference when working independently.
