Class Description

Description

Discover the vibrant flavors and culinary traditions of the Mediterranean region. Seafood, fresh vegetables, whole grains, aromatic herbs, and olive oil define the cooking of countries bordering the Mediterranean Sea, creating dishes that evoke memories of sun-drenched coastal retreats and unhurried dining experiences. This course focuses on the authentic cuisines of Southern France, Eastern Spain, Italy, and Greece, each offering distinct regional characteristics and time-honored cooking methods.

Regional Menu:

You will cook your way through an exploratory menu that represents the geographical and cultural diversity of Mediterranean cuisine:

  • French olive tapenade served on garlic toast
  • Greek briam, a vegetable medley cooked in olive oil and herbs
  • Spanish fideua Catalania, a noodle-based seafood dish
  • Sicilian pesce spada, featuring swordfish preparation

This hands-on class invites you to experience the ingredients, techniques, and culinary philosophy that have sustained Mediterranean populations for centuries.

Perhaps slightly different timing so that we could have more time to eat in courses. Otherwise, loved the course, the food, and the instructor. Wonderful experience. Great date night.
