When crafting a solo performance, much of the work happens on the page—shaping the narrative, refining the story, and finding your voice. But the true magic unfolds when you step into the space and bring your work to life. In the act of performing, new discoveries emerge: nuances in character, unexpected moments of humor or depth, and a deeper understanding of your own piece.

This hands-on workshop is designed for solo performers who have already begun writing their material and are looking to take it to the next level. Through guided exercises, staging techniques, and self-directing tools, we’ll explore how movement, space, and physical choices can expand and refine your storytelling.

Each participant will bring two pages of their own material (or 3-4 if in dialogue form) to work with.

You’ll have the opportunity to perform, receive constructive feedback, and gain individual guidance to challenge, deepen, and explore your work in new ways. Whether you’re developing your piece or preparing for performance, this workshop will help you connect with your material in a fresh and dynamic way.

Refund Policy

All payments are non-refundable (unless the school cancels the class). 

Commitment is for the duration of the session. There are no credits or refunds for individual missed classes. If you discontinue any class before the ending date of the session, you forfeit your fee.

  • If you need to cancel a full class session (the full 6, 8, or 10 week class) for any reason, you must notify us by email at [email protected] at least 8 business days before the registered class start date, and we will apply a credit to your account for a future class. Credits are valid for one-year.
  • If a student wishes to transfer to a different class, they must notify us by email at [email protected] at least 8 business days before the first day of the registered class. No transfers will be allowed after this.

A student may not transfer to a different class once a class has begun.

The school reserve the right to change teachers at any time.

In any event where a customer wants to cancel their enrollment and is eligible for a full refund, a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.
