Love my new skirt! The class was very well organized with a paper guide. Emily the teacher was excellent- super thorough, knowledgeable and patient. June is an excellent teacher. Her instructions were always clear and she was very patient when students needed extra help. She motivated us and conducted the class with support when needed. -
Sewing 101: Basics
This class is very beginner friendly and adjustable to your skill level as you go! Elizabeth was my instructor and she did a great job of demonstrating and then having me repeat what she showed me. The objectives were very clear from the get go and I learned lots how many minute but important details I was skipping when sewing on my own. They provide all the supplies, so I highly recommend it for anyone interested in sewing but not ready to commit to their own sewing machine yet. -
Sewing 101: Basics
Such a great class for beginners -
Sewing 101: Basics

Sewing 101: Bootcamp
What a fun class and what a terrific teacher. I really thought Jen gave terrific ways to remember basics (how to make sure your bobbin is in right). Love this place and will be taking classes again and again as I already have. -
Intro to Machine Sewing
Class was great. We learned all the machine basics, including maintenance. The instructor was very knowledgable and helpful. I wish we got to thread the machine ourselves as that process didn't seem super intuitive, but we did get to practice using the machine and got to make our own push pins, which was awesome. -
Sewing 101: Bootcamp
Fabulous class and fabulous teacher! Apparently classes on week days are smaller, so highly recommend! I love the pants I made and I feel like I can make clothes from a pattern now! -
Alterations and Mending Workshop
Amazing course, Carley was so helpful! -
Sewing 101: Basics
Very useful course and great instructors. -
Alterations and Mending Workshop
The class was so much fun. We totally benefited that it was only four people in the class with two instructors. They were both really knowledgeable and also met us where we were at. I have a decent amount of sewing experience while someone else in the class had none and had to learn how to thread the machine. The two other people had taken previous sewing classes and needed reminders and educational how to do new things and the instructors were great with all of us. I brought a really ambitious project and they both worked with me to get me in a direction that I would be happy with. The class totally reignited my love of sewing, and they even talk to me about what sewing machine I should buy. (I did buy one that night) I learned a lot of fun, tricks and tips and also unlocked a memory on how to fill a bobbin. I totally recommend this class for people who want to learn how to sew and how to alter their own clothes. -
Sew Pajama Pants
I gave up on sewing over 40 years ago. I always had trouble following the pattern and made so many mistakes. The instructor was excellent, and gave us step-by-step instructions. We did not have to rely on the pattern instructions which are often confusing. Students were at different levels but the instructor was patient and gave extra time to those that needed more help. I was able to complete my project and love my PJ bottoms. A very fun day. -
Sewing 101: Basics
Wonderful class! I was a complete beginner and am so happy with all of the skills I learned (and being able to take home an actual piece of clothing I made!). And a big shout out to Viola, who was a fantastic instructor! -
Sewing 101: Basics
Loved the independence that was fostered in the setting. -
Sewing 101: Make a Skirt
I booked last minute. Me and three other students. We learned basics of machine threading, measuring our selves, using a calculation to determine how to draw out and cut material. We sewed our individual elastic waist skirt and learned something. I missed the fine print to my own fabric, so I paid $45 for linen fabric at the shop. Plus $95 for the class. I now have a $140 hand made skirt. -
Sewing 101: Make a Skirt
The class was great! The teacher was awesome and went step by step slowly. Now I want to make more skirts. I would definitely take another class with them. -
Sewing 101: Basics
Definitely rewarding and fun for me—I came in with no sewing background. The class structure has realistic goals, our instructor and guest instructor were both so patient, helpful, and kind. I came out with a clearer understanding of constructing from patterns and ended up with pants I actually enjoy wearing! I really recommend this class if you're interested in learning to sew. -
Sewing 101: Basics (Private)
I came in with 2 pair of pants that I wanted to learn how to repair and did just that even though I never used a sewing machine before. My instructor, Wioletta, was amazing. Patience, encouraging, and light hearted. The hour went by so quickly. I didn't have any real interest in learning how to sew before this, but now I purchased my first sewing machine and I'm considering taking the 101 bootcamp! -
Sewing 101: Basics
Awesome class! -
Sewing 101: Bootcamp

The class was great. The teacher was lovely and informative. I gained a new respect and understanding for the art of millinery and for the amount of thought and creativity that goes into it. Definitely 10 out of 10 -
Machine Sewing II
Loved the sewing class. Diana is an amazing and caring instructor!!! -
Sewing 101: Bootcamp
Loved it. Instructor and class was great. Really fun experience and eager to keep learning. -
Sewing 101: Bootcamp
Class was small (there was about 7 of us). First couple of hours was learning to sew for tote bag , then break for 1 hour and the remaining hours was learning to sew the bottoms that you have chosen. I was not able to finish my project at the end but they gave an option to return another day to finish it up. Definitely learned a lot. Instructor was clear and patient with us. -
Machine Sewing II
I thought the instructor was always well prepared. She spent time answering everyone's questions and worked with everyone. The class made you want to sew. -
Sewing (1-Hour Private)
My mom and I had so much fun in the class! We ended up making a pouch and now we use it for our travels. Ingvild is a very patient teacher and we’re so happy we took her class. -

My wife and her friend had a great time, they really enjoyed the class. I believe Emily was the teacher and they liked her teaching method! -
Alterations and Mending Workshop
Knowledgeable , patient and kind staff. -
Alteration - Basics Sewing (1-Hour Private)
I came to the Alterations private class with the intention of really understanding how to alter clothes so they actually fit me. For many years I've worn oversized tops, boxy shirts, and so forth. This was an ambitious venture for me: how to keep my beloved garments but update them to my actual (slim) measurements. I found Ingvild a very reassuring person. In fact, she had such a reassuring presence that I was able to discuss frankly the aspects of my figure I wanted to de-emphasize. I came home excited about the various ways I can remake the garments I already own. I am pleased that I signed up for time with her. -
Alterations Workshop (2-Hour Private)
It was such a helpful class. Highly recommend if you're trying to learn how to alter your own clothes. -
Alteration - Basics Sewing (1-Hour Private)
Very useful class! Ingvild was lovely and I liked the way she set up the class, having me bring in a couple items and work on them together while explaining everything and giving me instructions for continuing. -
Machine Sewing
I was an electronics engineer and in my retirement I learned 3D-printing, laser cutting, advanced woodworking and more at a makerspace. But the makerspace didn't have sewing and I didn't know how to shorten pants or even use a sewing machine to stitch a top loop on the stretchy green-screen fabric I use for my ZOOM session backgrounds. I also want to change a flannel shirt or two that I have with tuck-in tails to flat-bottomed so I don't have to tuck them inside my pants. I have no desire to make clothes from scratch. I now feel confident I can sew what I wanted to sew with what I learned in this course and some online research. The course had a relaxed friendly atmosphere and instructor Diana Rogers roamed the room giving each student considerable individual attention. After the first class, my wife and I finally ditched our 20-plus-year-old sewing machine that was giving her trouble, and purchased a new Singer sewing machine for less than $200 that is similar to the Singers we used in class. I highly recommend this course. -
Sewing 101: Basics
The instructor was very patient and attentive, and the projects were appropriate for a beginner. -
Sewing 101: Basics
Amanda was very patient with me. She demonstrated and I still didn’t understand or remember next steps she showed me again. -
Alterations Workshop (2-Hour Private)
Aubrey was amazing. Really patient and helpful! -
Sewing 101: Create What You Want (2-Hour Private)
I worked with Mary and she was a perfect match. I showed up over prepared with my machine and variations of fabric. She jumped right in and provided me with all of the base knowledge I need to jump into sewing including stitching techniques, fabrications, along with the ins and outs of my particular machine. There wasn’t a single question that was left unanswered and she was genuinely down to earth. The two hours flew by and I honestly wish I could rewind that whole day because we worked very well together. I’m so happy I chose this!! -
Sewing 101: Basics (Private)
The instructor was very patient and very informative about the sewing machine project. I enjoyed it so much that I booked another session. -
Sewing 101: Bootcamp
So great! Fabulous venue to learn. Bright engaging instructors. I am obsessed with sewing now. -
Sewing 101: Make a Skirt

The classes were engaging, useful, and addressed all the material covered in the syllabus. Highly recommend. -
Sewing 101: Make a Skirt
Loved this class and learned so much! Will definitely be back. -
Beginner Patchwork
I had a great experience with this class. We learned how to make a log cabin quilt block. The teacher explained different ways to arrange colors to create different effects. I used some fabric that I had brought, and then I also purchased some during the class to complement the design. They had really cute fabrics in the store and it was fun to look around. This class got me into quilting. I am making my own full size quilt now. -
Alteration - Basics Sewing (1-Hour Private)
It was a great class! I felt guided and comfortable enough to take on the challenges. I felt the teacher had a good vision for the class and it was not overwhelming. -
Sewing 101: Basics (Private)
Class rescheduled as it was fully booked but am still looking forward to it.
